We welcome explainers, comparisons, historical context and observational essays that stay grounded in a clear subject.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, central question, category, intended reader and main point the piece will make. Explain what material or examples support the article and why it can be useful without relying on unsupported claims, private access or first-hand tests presented as proof.
